Who We Are

Healthcare shouldbe easier tounderstand.For everyone.

Our Purpose

Making everyday healthcare clearer to navigate.

  1. 01.

    Clear
    Information

Help people better understand everyday healthcare options without forcing them to decipher complicated systems or terminology.

  2. 02.

    Coverage
    Clarity

Make it easier to understand that healthcare coverage is not simply OHIP or no OHIP. Public coverage, private plans, benefits and out-of-pocket services can overlap.

  3. 03.

    Cost
    Transparency

Help people understand where costs may arise and what questions they should know to ask before accessing everyday care.

  4. 04.

    Better
    Access

Create clearer pathways to healthcare information for people across Ontario, including those who may face additional barriers navigating the system.

Our Approach

Start with clarity. Put people first.

Healthcare can be difficult to navigate even when you have coverage.

A service may be publicly covered for one person, privately covered for another, and paid out of pocket by someone else. All Med Canada is being built around a simple idea: give people clearer information so they can better understand their options.

Editorial panel headed, will this be covered, listing the four things the answer depends on: the service, your age and circumstances, the plan you hold, and where you go.
Editorial panel headed, coverage rarely looks the same twice, showing four offset bands labelled OHIP, private insurance, employer or student plan, and paid out of pocket, with a note that a person can sit in more than one at the same time.

The Project

Built around the realities of everyday care.

  • Everyone

    Designed for every coverage situation

OHIP, private insurance, benefits, partial coverage or out-of-pocket care. The project is not limited to one type of patient.

  • Ontario

Starting where healthcare navigation is already complex

All Med Canada begins with an Ontario-focused understanding of everyday healthcare access and coverage.

  • 6 Areas

    Everyday healthcare scope

Clinics, dental care, eye care, chiropractic, physiotherapy and pharmacy services form the initial areas of focus.

Our App

The service is being built as an app.

This website explains the project. The app is where the service itself will live.

The two are separate pieces of work. The website is here now, describing what All Med Canada is for. The app is in development and is not available yet. When there is something to announce, it will be announced here first.

What Guides Us

Our principles.

For everyone
Healthcare information should be useful whether someone has OHIP, private coverage, partial coverage or no coverage.
Clear before complex
Explain healthcare information in plain language wherever possible.
Privacy by design
The informational website should not ask people to provide medical histories, diagnoses or unnecessary health information.
Information, not medical advice
All Med Canada helps people understand healthcare information and options. It is not a clinic and does not diagnose, triage or provide medical advice.

What Matters

We believe clearer healthcare information should be available to everyone.

Different coverage. Different needs.
The same right to understand your options.

  • Understandable

Healthcare information should be written for people, not systems. Plain language and strong information hierarchy come first.

  • Accessible

The experience should work across devices, abilities, languages and different levels of familiarity with Ontario's healthcare system.

  • Community focused

The project should reflect the needs of the communities it is intended to serve and work with organisations that already support those communities.

About the organisation

All Med Canada is a registered operating name of Hope Alliance Worldwide, a federal not-for-profit corporation.

All Med Canada is a community-focused initiative created to make everyday healthcare information easier to understand and navigate. The project does not provide medical care or medical advice.
