We build this site to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We do that because our readers are often reading in a second language, on an older phone, in a hurry, and sometimes worried. A site that is hard to use fails those people first.

What that means in practice. Every part of the site can be reached and operated with a keyboard, and the focused element is always visible. Colour contrast is checked in both the light and the dark theme. Images that carry meaning have alternative text and decorative images are marked as decorative. Forms have real labels, and errors are announced rather than only shown in red. Motion respects your system setting for reduced motion.
